University of Pennsylvania, Annenberg School for Communication

University of Pennsylvania, Annenberg School for Communication is the University of Pennsylvania’s school devoted to the study of communication, media, and public life. Based in Philadelphia, it serves undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students and anchors research and teaching on how communication shapes politics, culture, technology, and society. The school offers a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, a Master of Communication, and a Ph.D. in Communication, and it also supports interdisciplinary study across Penn.

Its work is organized around both degree education and research infrastructure. The school houses the Annenberg Public Policy Center, a major policy research center focused on communication and public policy, and it is home to the Communication Neuroscience Lab and other research initiatives that connect media study with political communication, health communication, digital media, and data-driven social research. Annenberg also publishes the peer-reviewed journal The ANNALS of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, linking the school to broader scholarly and policy debates.
