Arkansas · 2026
Arkansas Cattlemen's Association advances cattle industry education, leadership development, and member engagement in Arkansas, with operations anchored at 301 S. Victory Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Its programming reaches both current producers and the next generation of agricultural leaders through scholarships, internships, events, and industry recognition. The association states that, with partner support, it awards more than $15,000 each year in scholarships to develop outstanding young Arkansans, and its 2026 cycle includes ACA Scholarships, ACWA Scholarships, and ACF Scholarships. The organization also runs collegiate internship opportunities that connect students directly to association work and industry events. Its summer internship places a college student in the Little Rock office from May to August, offers pay and housing, and involves projects such as policy book redesign, magazine writing, email marketing, membership recruitment and retention, and planning for the Annual Convention & Trade Show. Preference is given to Arkansas students studying an agriculture-related field. A separate convention internship supports the Annual Convention & Trade Show during the week of August 4-9, with activities split between Little Rock and Fort Smith; three to four interns are selected, and housing and food are provided for the week. Arkansas Cattlemen's Association also recognizes professional excellence through the Arkansas Cattlemen's Producer of the Year award. In 2026, the association is accepting applications for the 3rd Annual award, which honors leadership, innovation, dedication, cattle management, community involvement, and advocacy within Arkansas's cattle industry. The winner is recognized at the ACA Awards Banquet at Convention. Across these programs, the association combines workforce development, member service, and statewide industry recognition in support of Arkansas cattle producers and students.
