What is the deadline?

The KAAD has a two-stage application procedure. The initial application can be submitted throughout the year. Those who are selected for the second stage will be sent the necessary application documents. The application deadlines for the second stage are 15 January (scholarships awarded in March) and 30 June (scholarships awarded in September) of each year. Application requirements Application Requirements Applicants are expected to show excellent promise in their studies and/or research work. Applicants’ focus in study or research work in Germany is on returning permanently to their home countries after the completion of the scholarship; otherwise the KAAD funding will be considered as a loan. Applicants must be socially engaged and involved in the Church and be ready to participate in inter-religious dialogue.
