• This program is open to residents of southern California who have demonstrated or expressed a genuine interest in a career in aviation, such as through membership in aviation Explorer Scouts, membership in an aviation club, attendance at an aviation or space camp, extracurricu….
• Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll for full-time study at an accredited school (e.g., community college, 4-year college, university, technical school) with a formal aviation curriculum leading to a certificate, license, or degree in aviation.
• Selection is based on a 500-word essay on their interest in aviation, academic record, interest in becoming a professional pilot and/or preparing for a career in aviation, extracurricular activities, recommendations, and financial need.
• The top 5 applicants may be invited to an interview.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
